Dr. Bagci has delivered an invited speech at WMIC-2016, New York, on 7th September 2016.
Dr. Bagci's talk was in "Imaging of Infection and Inflammation" track of World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC), and the title of the talk was
"Developing Next Generation Image Analysis Methods for Infectious Diseases".
In this talk, Dr. Bagci highlighted the increasing role of radiology and nuclear medicine imaging modalities in non-invasive evaluation of infectious diseases.
Apart from current Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) methods in the current clinical and pre-clinical settings, Dr. Bagci has indicated the rapid evolution of advanced artificial intelligence methods (such as deep learning) and their interactions in healthcare systems. Particular examples were given from the recent publications and studies of Dr. Bagci and his students at CRCV.
