I am currently a rising senior majoring in Computer Science at the University of Texas at El Paso. My plan is to pursue a master's degree in Software Engineering.
For my REU project this summer, I am working with Dr. Haroon Idrees on counting in high-density crowd videos. The overall goal of this project is to develop a
methodology to accurately count the number of people in large crowds from videos. The idea is to compute superpixels, pixel motion, and the appearance of each video frame
in order to segment crowd regions. Crowd segmentation should allow us to reduce counting error by discarding counts from non-crowd regions. A motion-based Markov Random Field will be used
to infer counts, by using the constraint that counts in nearby patches should be similar. Below you will find my project presentations. For more information feel free to contact me
